A UNE delegation, led by Professor Victor Minichiello, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of UNE’s Faculty of The Professions, visited Vietnam last month to further develop partnerships with major tertiary institutions in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in the fields of education, business and management. Bac Ha International University has been set up in northern Bac Ninh Province under the permission of the government. The university has been established to produce human resources meeting international standards and it aims to become an international-level university in the next 10-15 years.
The Prime Minister has given Bac Ha International University the green light to become the first non-State university of international standards operating in Viet Nam. Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan handed over the PM’s decision to the University president, Professor Dang Huu, on November 4.
